On the Road!
Elbasan, Korce and Ohrid and of course our Pogradec!
Zone Conference, Singing in Ohrid, Pictures from Korce
English Classes and Book of Mormon Reading in Pogradec and Self Reliance Class
Zone Conference in Elbasan
This is how I spent my Birthday!  At Zone Conference.
Lorin made a giant pot of Fasule (Bean Soup)  Actually other than helping out with a greek salad or two, it was his first time cooking in this country.  Whatever was in the soup made him very sick!  I drove from Pogradec down the winding path to get to Elbasan.  He just wasn't feeling very well.  Beans didn't agree with him.  I ate the same batch and was fine  I just didn't eat as much as he did.
We also had a Makim full of tires that we had to change out and had problems getting them changed. Couldn't find a place! BUT!  I found a great place that we had gone to before in Elbasan and they changed our tires just in time.  On the way home we got the car (Makim) washed because it was head to toe dirt inside and out!  We made that just in time before closing!  Lorin finding a tulet every where we stopped!  I actually was able to speak to the tire man and tell him what we wanted!  This language is going really really slow for me!!!

Cool new glasses I found while changing Makim's that obvious hadn't been cleaned out for over a YEAR!  They belong to an elder who has left the mission and already married!  Great! New glasses for me and a clean Makim for Korce!  In the last week I have driven four different Makims and cleaned out every one of them.  I decided that must me another new job for me.   I am also learning that the missionaries eat a lot and I mean a lot of candy bars!

Our Pogradec Elder Riepel

Trying to Find Elbason Church and then After Conference Trying to find a place to change our tires this guy standing up on his carte was infront of us both times.  He must have been driving around for hours because as soon as we got out of Conference there he was again blocking our route to go.

Singing in Macedonia--Ohrid
We made arrangements with the Sister Missionaries :  Sister Willey and Sister Ling who play violin and guitar to cross over countries to Macedonia to sing with the Elders : Dibble, Davis, and Bishoft and a zone leader from England--He had an incorrect name tag on and in Macedonian letters--He is from England get his name later.   We sang for about four to five hours straight and then headed to Back to Pogradec to sing for my english class to Promote our Easter Initiative.
It was a beautiful day and the Elders talked to many.  Hopefully the people in Macedonia at least have a good opinion of the singing missionaries!  We try Everything!

After Zone Conference we came back to Pogradec, gathered music, water, etc. for the next morning. We met the sisters from Korce and headed to Ohrid Macedonia to help the Elders there contacting.  Well we don't speak Macedonia, Serbian, or Bulgarian so we sing in English!  We sang and played the violin and guitar for 4 or 5 hours to attract people and tell our Easter Message.  We had to go through all the proper legal waiting issues to get the OK from President Weidmann .  I had this idea months ago to to this and we decided to do it during the Easter Initiative .  It was really a beautiful Spring day and lovely by the lake.  We ate a Falafel Hummus meal after and the headed to sing in Pogradec for our English Classes there.  We showed them a short film about Easter and in Pogradec we had about 38 or more people.  It really turned out quite well .  Now our only hope is that peoples hearts will be touched and they will come to church on Easter this next Sunday to hear MORE!!!!
I have my Personal Progress girls singing "Tender Mercies of the Lord"
We also have a baptism scheduled for Saturday for Saimir! It's going to be a GREAT EASTER!

Road to Macedonia along Lake Orhid.  These are our cow friends and they are always in the spot next to the garbage cans.  They sometimes tip over the garbages and they will sometimes have cats riding their backs.  We watch for them every time!  Today they made a road block for us cuz they are cows (LOPA) with attitude!  I just love them!
