Lorin and I head for the hills to get away from all the things we cannot control and cannot permit and cannot face yet!.... We go upward to the hills sometimes in the Makim but mostly on foot. We just walk and walk and walk. The villages above seem to have more peace. Their lives are less demanding and uniquely simple. Our lives down lower by the lake are much more intense ! People above even speak quieter. I also love to hear the stream flowing as we walk.
These hill are cut out by sheep and goats that are herded along the mountainside for generations.
This is a small village close to the lake that have blocked the streams that flow towards the lake and they have made beautiful farm lands and stock ponds with fish. They seem to work together in a community type garden ...everyone helping with the plots of land taking shifts.
